A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s International Artist album exceeds innovation but underwhelms fans

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie returns to the spotlight with his latest 8-track EP; and this time its at a worldwide scale, featuring talent from across the globe. The 22-year-old artist had released his last project, The Bigger Artist in 2017, which would take its position among the US Billboard 200. In relation to the ’17 success, it will be interesting to see how his new album performs statistically. However, it appears that his fans aren’t entirely impressed with the EP; as people take to Twitter to express their opinions:

When A Boogie’ named his EP, he wasn’t lying – there are artists from all across the globe. We have DaVido from Nigeria, Jamaica’s Alkaline, Kojo Funds from Britain, Canada’s Tory Lanez, NAV and Jessie Reyez; among others.

Previously released tracks Way Too Fly and Best Friend feature in the album, which pose as the most popular songs among the criticized album.

Rating: 5/10

A Boogies’ International Artist album unfortunately possesses more cons than pros. The young artist’s innovative idea of sourcing international talent to create the theme of this album was actually a great idea; however, it almost feels that the release was rushed – something that the New York artist should learn from.

The best tracks of the album have to be Way Too Fly ft. DaVido and Best Friend ft. Tory Lanez. Not only were these tracks released prior to the album release, but they flow much better than the others. Perhaps these tracks raised the bar too high for A Boogies’ EP. Instead, he could’ve reserved some of this quality for the release.
