Yes, it’s that time of year again – Wireless Festival have released their official lineup. 2018 is looking exciting with headliners, J. Cole (Friday), Stormzy (Saturday), and DJ Khaled (Sunday)!
The festival will commence on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of July 2018, which seems like light-years away, though the wait will be well worth it.

The lineup looks very much healthy, full of musicians who dominate the official charts, from streaming charts to radio charts. Understandably, mainstream music isn’t for everybody (trust me, we know), the fleet of artists also includes musicians that you still probably haven’t heard of, therefore offering you something new and refreshing.
Compared to last years lineup, does this year’s suffice?
No doubt, last year hosted an exceptional lineup with the likes of The Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, and Skepta; among hip-hop giants, Travis Scott, Nas, Tory Lanez, G-Eazy, and more. While this is a tough crowd to beat, this year’s lineup seems to have succeeded the previous’. The likes of Post Malone, Migos, J Hus, and Rick Ross appearing on the sheet already signal the talent that will be displayed.

What are we most looking forward to?
Eugene –
This year’s lineup is looking impressive, and somewhat interesting with the range of artists included. As usual, it’s difficult to decide which day is the best looking, however for my own reasons, and previous experiences, I think Saturday’s is looking the most appealing (if I had to pick one, of course). Seeing my personal favorites, 6lack and Belly on the sheet, alongside Migos, and grime-scene-dominating artists Stormzy and JHus tell me that the day will offer a range of music, all of which are the contents of an interesting and notable vibe.
Bijan –
All three days of this years Wireless’ don’t fail to appeal with my taste in music – maybe I’ll aim to spend the full weekend at Finsbury Park! Though, I am particularly looking forward to artists, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Big Sean, Migos, 6lack, Belly, Dj Kahled, Giggs, Rae Sremmurd, and Rick Ross. While some of these artists have previously featured in former Wireless festivals, it appears that others will be making their debut in July, and I expect they will put on a hell of a show!
If I was made to decide on a single day, I would have to choose Sunday. While I would undoubtedly choose to see Belly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and J.Cole above the majority of these artists, Sunday seems to feature the most talent, with DJ Kahled appearing with “friends”. It would be exciting to see who he shares the stage with, as we all know Kahled to work with a host of artists.
Med –
Despite last year being a year of great acts. This year has not disappointed by any means, they have included all of the best acts from the past year. They have brought a mix of genres, from grime to hip-hop artists from abroad and home. The most attractive day for me would be Friday, it includes some of my favourite artists; J. Cole, Wiley, Wretch 32 and Big Sean. Although, this doesn’t take away from the talents on Saturday and Sunday which includes big names like; Stormzy, J Hus, Mist, Not3s, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Mostack to name a few. All these artists are favourites of mine, who of which I assume would be great to see live. From what I can see, any day would be a great summer day out.
Let us know what you think about the lineup, give us your say in the matter.
