Sony Studios seems to be aiming for a prosperous year of 2018, with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle resulting in a successful departure to 2017 (estimated to collect $180m).
Sony recently announced that it’ll be launching its very own Marvel Universe starting with directing a movie based on spider man’s nemesis and ultimate stalker – Venom.
Venom in Spider-Man 3
Venom, formerly known as journalist, Eddie Brock, was known for facing his very own personal issues, issues that in fact lead him to fall under some unfortunate circumstances that leaving him to encounter a ‘symbiotic alien costume’ which appears to be the source of venom’s power. The alien contents of the costume bonded with his mental and physical state leaving him somewhat possessed by the power of the suit. The suit gives Brock a whole arsenal of superhuman abilities most of which are either identical, or immune to Spider-Man’s.
Venom will be portrayed by Tom Hardy, who himself claims, “I’ll do anything I can to deliver the best Venom that I can possibly muster.”
Venom is set to be released on the 5th of October, 2018.
